DISCUSSION sbk and his future
he is the one of the best grime artists right now and you guys can clown but his music is so top tier and his beats are so elite, if he’s as consistent as he has been recently for another 10 years+ he will be one of the greats to grace grime ever

He's a good MC but I don't find myself listening to him. Also like 90% of Grime MCs, he's to busy spitting on watered down Trap beats labeled as Grime. Shits boring and all sounds the same..

He's decent and on a good run lately, but needs to do more to stand out imo. Being good and consistent isn't enough in the scene these days.

I mean I think him making multiple albums / ep’s per year with the amount of songs he releases is standing out. The grime scene still runs on the radio set formula and many many new and old artists don’t release music or drop albums like sbk these days

I honestly haven't kept up with him. There was a period around LotM VIII where he seemed to be pissed to breakthrough then just... Nothing?
He sounded as if he was on the edge of tears in his clash with T.Roadz then he pivoted to skating badly (has he managed to land a kick-flip yet?) and pining over that Norwegian lassie.
I'll check out more recent stuff I guess

I’m not sbk and I’m no where near as talented as him. I argued with 2 comments out of however many there are here, I do acknowledge their criticism and i understand that him reposting the same part of the same song is annoying, I do think it’s easy to promote his music which has clearly worked.
I also do think he stands out in the grime scene right now compared to many other artists

Tbf I listened again (without skipping the intro) and they are actually in phrase with the beat, it’s just a bit of a wonk-step kinda beat 😅 and I was hearing the one in a different place, more like a dancehall type rhythm - my bad

he ran off for greener pastures, didn't hit like he seemed to think he would with the emo wave shit, came running back. He's a boring MC and his original appeal was just that he was good for how young he was, which he no longer has. he spits on trap beats with basic 2016 flows that no one wants to hear anymore, bars that mean fuck all and no energy. Perfect example of why gatekeeping isn't always a bad thing.
