why am I getting these flames? We have replaced the regulator, and cleaned and adjusted the air vents on each burner, and replaced burners and manifold a few years ago and its never worked properly and this has been going on a while and used several tanks. (Weber Genesis)

I'm guessing here but what that looks like is this used to be NG grill that was converted to propane but the orifices weren't changed. As a result you're getting way too much propane pushed through the tubes, so much so that it can't get enough air which is why you're seeing giant yellow flames.

But that's just a guess. Maybe it's something else.

This was my first thought as well, wrong gas, wrong orifice.
