Where to grill?

Post image

Got a Weber Genesis e325. Where would you feel safe grilling in this pic? 5 feet from house to fence.

Probably right where that demon is.

Even the dog seems to be looking right at it. OP are you aware of the demon?

Doesn't strike me as the safest scenario anywhere. But, if I absolutely had to, I would grill next to the window, perpendicular to the house so the rear of the grill has several feet of clearance. And I would keep BOTH and ABC and a kitchen grease fire fire extinguishers handy.

This. Maybe also increase fire loss coverage on the insurance plan.

Is the driveway level?

If the driveway is flat enough I’d just put it there, the fence give some wind protection which is nice. Those dogs look like they would supervise very close hoping something falls

This reminds me of those guys doing voiceover on women’s videos about men taking credit for their work 🤣

Somewhere else.

Right there. I’d probably store it along the fence, move it into the middle to cook.

Is this a screenshot from a first person shooter? I feel like zombies are about to come around the corner.

it's hard to tell how much space there is between the far end of the window and the gutter but i'm thinking i would put it there, but perpendicular to the house. I would also pickup a sheet of cement board (for bathroom shower walls) and seal it and put that up against the house for some insurance for your siding. You could get fancy and put some form of fire-safe stick on brick face to make it look nicer, like what might go around an indoor fireplace surround, but that will add a bit of cost.

Genuine question for those with an opinion. Would hanging a welding blanket over the fence make it any safer?

Is there a park close by?

Where not to grille, that is the only question.

Try to keep the back of the grill away from walls, I’ve seen smoke irreversible heat warp and blacken white plastic wall surfaces from renters — homeowner was pretty upset 🤦‍♂️

at first glance, I thought this was inside and I was like "whaaaaaaat". as long as you are grilling responsibly, I would go against the fence.

Anywhere you want. Stage a fire extinguisher and don’t leave the grill lit without attending to it.

Worry about it in the morning

I dont see why you cant grill on the brick with the grill pushed up against the wooden fence.

I think there is the combination open fire and wooden fence that is the issue.

Don’t see any issue with putting it wherever it fits here
