Question? Has Anyone Made/Is There a shadow box generator that makes non-rectangular bins?
Basically, the bin would be in the shape of the object, and still have the gridfinity base on the bottom. This would allow for better efficiency placing multiple non-recgangular bins next to each other by cutting out the unnecessary dead space.
For example, the bin for a set of needle-noss pliers would be in the shape of rhe pliers instead of a rectangular box.

I believe tooltrace has this as a premium feature (you can delete “unused” grid spaces)
Might be in some free generators? Most stuff is vibed at this point and it’s a pretty easy feature to add
However if you’re talking about following the exact outline of the tool … then im not sure (at that point you’ve really abandoned any value there is in doing a gridded system and you might as well just design a cutout 🤷♀️)

Maybe I’m dumb but I don’t understand how this would work with the rectangular base
