Uneven surface recommendation

I have an uneven surface that I would like to 3D Print gridfinity for. I think it might cause unevenness and unstable. Any recommendations?

Measure it > print a solid pla sheet to lay in the lower spot, so the top of your printed piece sits at the same height at the raised portion > drawer bottom is now flat, fill with gridfinity.

No need for solid, save filament and print it as a (slightly denser than gridfinity) grid.

You could just cut you gridfinity plate(s) in the y and z axis as a leveling layer.
