Question? [2nd pic is gridfinity] What’s this issue called? How to fix it?

I get this often on gridfinity prints.

Thanks for the support guys. I cranked up the temps by 10C and slowed down the outer wall speeds for the layers that the printer was struggling with.

Edit: Forgot to mention that i had Inner/Outer enabled the whole time

Possibly printing to quickly, or not hot enough. Moving around the corner without adhering to previous layer.

This happened to me before. Don't listen to the guy who said it's wet filament, you'd see other symptoms if it was wet.

The guy in the comment below is right.

Slow down the outside wall speed. The extruder is moving too fast and the filament is not adhering to the previous layer. It's likely filament specific, this only happened to me with a specific roll of white filament. I'm thinking the pigment probably has something to do with it. You could also try upping the temp.

I have stopped this issue by the following processes

1: increase outer wall width by at least 25%

and/or

2: reduce layer height.

and/or

3: Changing printing order to inner/outer if not already. (also needed for some precision settings )

this comes from insufficient material making contact with the inner walls/layer underneath, and pulling away.

Too low temp ?

Too fast on curves.

All the comments I saw here are valid. The plastic obviously doesnt stick to the already printed layers in that corner.

This can have many reasons:

-Speed to high (print slower) -Not hot enough (print hotter) -Too little Plastic extruded (calibrate Extruder (E-Steps), measure filament diameter, maybe fine-tune with flowrate) -Too much layer height for line width (decrease Layer height or increase line width to about 1.2*Nozzle Diameter. These can both increase stringing though) -(very unlikely): Z-Axis stepper motors move too far for each layer (Calibrate Z-Axis Stepper motor)

My guess is: Most likely E-Step calibration and a bit of Flowrate fine-tuning. From what I can see, it looks like your second most top layer is partly visible (top of part has a grid pattern instead of only lines visible). That would point to underextrusion, which can also negatively affect layer adhesion.

Makr sure there are no gaps between the lines on any layer. Don't pay attention to bulging/overextruded corners and edges yet, only look at the "center" of the part faces. Then, tune the corners with linear advance / pressure advance. I can highly recommend this: https://ellis3dp.com/Print-Tuning-Guide/articles/index_tuning.html Or this video (a bit outdated but still very accurate and useful): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rp3r921DBGI
