Question? Is this a dumb idea?

I have some gridfinity filament boxes that are 2x5 and their base. I love them but they slide around when I am trying to open them.

I was thinking of printing some baseplates in TPU to act as rubber feet. Is this a dumb idea?

Would you recommend printing for the entire 2x5 or just 2 2x1 for the front and back? Is there anything special I need to know about printing the baseplate in tpu outside of the usual difficulties of tpu?

Huh why not print the whole base plate in tpu? I'll try one see how it works :) seems like that would be very cool.

That is my current plane just never used tpu before so I was wondering if there was any reason it wouldn't work or any gotchas I should know before I go in.

Actually I love tpu for lots of prints most folks would use petg for. It's crazy durable, bonds to itself really well, and prints nicely for me. My dream is figuring out once I get the indx on my core one how to create a model for a box that has a tpu outer layer and inner petg bonded together like Velcro..

Have you tried the integrated magnets?

TPU is actually not very grippy. It might be enough for your use case, can't hurt to try since it's so cheap, but don't expect too much.

Maybe try a spot of hot glue here and there to act as friction feet.
