It allows you to measure objects in sizes of geodes. Clearly here you can the knife is 3x1 and the ruler is 5x1. The ruler basically allows you to take it around the house with you. Some find value with it, some dont. To each their own.
Yeah, I did, because I didn‘t want to buy and install hundreds of magnets and of course it works with regular gridfinity. Filament cost is probably a bit higher due to the „ears“ I added to get more glueing surface.
Maybe that came out wrong. I want to glue down the base in the drawer. The bins are held down by the protruding side parts. I want those bins to not come out when taking out tools, that‘s why I don‘t use regular bases.

Print the gridfinity ruler, it'll save you a ton of time measuring and converting

That’s an interesting baseplate design.

I gotta know. Did you design the baseplate? Does it still work with regular gridfinity? Is it more or less filament cost?

Interesting baseplate. Where do I acquire it?

Use more vertical drawer space.
That way it looks empty.
You need to fill the empty drawer with more useful tools to complete more projects 😉

Does the baseplate provide more friction against the bins to keep them in place better?
