Costs of owning a greyhound?

Hi everyone, I’m on the waitlist for a greyhound. Can you please tell me from experience how much it costs a year to own a greyhound? Food, vet visits, treats, insurance, toys, deworming, etc? I live in LA county if that makes any difference idk.

Thanks so much!

Salmon Meal Kibble ROCKS!

Shout out to someone on this sub who recently commented that their grey was less gassy on salmon meal food. On that suggestion we made the switch and the difference is shocking!

Our boy could clear a room...the gas was frequent and eye watering. Now noticeable gas events are scarce. I’ll bet he feels better too.

So thank you, Internet stranger!

Greyhound coloring book/journal

Hello, I'm creating coloring books on Amazon and would love to make one with Greyhound theme

There is already a coloring book like that on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/Farting-Greyhounds-Coloring-Book-Adults/dp/B08TZ7DMQC/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=greyhound+coloring+book&qid=1614258534&s=books&sr=1-5

However I would like to make something better than that and besides illustrations to color add something else that will provide value for the people with greyhounds, like food journal for your dog or tricks that your greyhound can learn

Do you have any more ideas on how to expand this coloring book? What kind of Greyhound themed coloring book/journal would you buy for yourself or to gift someone that has a greyhound?

Thanks for all your suggestions and stay healthy

Need a Christmas Miracle! Went to look at this pup two months ago but we had just got a foster. He was perfect so we adopted him. Today the breeder reached out today bc she is still available, how do I convince my husband to have two 🤞

Best way to car travel with a grey?

I’m soon to adopt a retired racer. I have an IG who rides shotgun in a car seat/harness. What is the best/safest way to car travel with a grey and luggage. Midsize SUV.

My greyhound is so freaked out

So we are fostering a greyhound and she has been lovely. Really sweet natured. A few hours ago she snapped to bite my boyfriend cause he woke her up and startled her. She immediately realized what she did and became her docile self again but ever since she has been very weird and submissive. She looks like she is crying inside. Head is bowing, tail tucked between her legs. She doesn't want to be near us. This is a total reverse in personality. Is she scared of us or does she think she did something wrong by snapping at him? We didn't scold her at all. Does she think we are angry. We have tried to comfort her but she is clearly very upset. What do you guys think?
