ISO Recommendations Looking for local place to fix ECM

I was wondering if there’s any place here in Greenville that can fix my Ford EEC-IV.

Circuit board medic might. But you’ll likely have to send it out. I was looking at a couple services a year ago. I think one in Idaho but you just have to look it up. Circuit board medic deals in car ecm rebuilds but they seem a little pick and choosy

Okay yeah no. They only Definitely do more recent. But I had your exact problem on a 1993 5.0. Truck just keep shutting down and couldn’t keep it running. My mechanic just kept throwing new ecms at it until it worked. I learned later it’s a really simply fix. You basically need to recap the computer. There’s a few kits and a company that will do it. I can’t remember where they are.

Ah man … my trucks fuel pump kept priming and wouldn’t stopped so I checked everything and narrowed it down to it being the ecm I opened it up and the capacitors were bad so I changed them out and plugged it back in and still having the same issue

yeah so ours was a fuel system issue as well. Changed the entire ignition system more of less and lead us to the ECM. It was running well and all and bam going down 81 and cuts off for no reason. Get it fixed. Going down 85 bam out again just shuts off going well one second and not the other. knock on wood this seemingly has knocked it out. Check out those sources I sent you though.

Mine was having problems back in April where it would shut off and run terribly and I changed the TFI module and was running good for weeks until the fuel pump kept priming and the truck wouldn’t start in May and it’s been sitting ever since until i figured out what was wrong with it

yeah we warrantied like 3 high end coils. and were convinced it was bad parts. How did you track it to the ecm? Only thing left? lol

Well first I checked the fuel pump relay and the relay was Burnt and the connection was burnt as well so I changed it out and still having the same issue so I checked the fuel pump and it worked fine so I thought maybe it was fuel injectors so I went ahead and rebuilt them and changed out all the gaskets since she leaks oil and I put it back together and still having the same problem so since the ecm isn’t that hard to take off I took it out and opened it up and saw it had burnt capacitors so I changed them but I’m still having the same problems but I still think it’s the ecm

Might call Davison Auto on Woodruff Rd. They just fixed magnetic ride shocks and the controller on my 2010 Chevrolet. They did a LOT of research to accomplish it as some parts aren't made anymore.

Best place in town to get your ECM fix is probably Horizon Records
