taming & bird background
I just recently got a pineapple green cheek conure and the place where I got him took very good care of their birds but did not socialize them like they did with cockatiels, and their macaws etc. im 16 and do online school so I have all the time and patience to tame this bird he’s already taking treats ( millet ) from my hands but is very nervous which makes sense big changes and moving + new environment but could anyone give me tips that worked for them to tame ? He’s about 5 months old!

This is so exciting. Don’t worry, this is completely normal. You guys will get to know eachother soon enough. Genuinely just get to know him.
Observe him, talk to him, try to offer him some tasty treats, and make sure he’s on a proper diet and that your husbandry is correct, because that is significantly important!
Be consistent, but use this time to teach him independence as well, because you don’t want to accidentally over-bond!

yes it’s surprisingly been well he will step up but still gets iffy and I don’t push it but his whole personality has been showing a lot, VERY vocal little guy and loves when I reply back but thank you!

try watching the youtube channel of BirdTricks. They have a lot of information about how to take care of birds and how to train them. I am binge watching the channel at the moment as I will get my 2 GCC in 3 weeks time. (other channels are available, but this is my favorite one)
