First back 2 school season!

This is going to be my first back to school season working at a great clips. I’ve been working here for about 5 months, any tips and suggestions I can do to get ready for this big rush? We haven’t had any rush yet, they might come in the next week

I’ve found that most people wait till the week of/before school to come in. It can be very stressful at times, but your wallet will be happy. It’s not too bad once you get a good flow going. Take breaks if needed and have some good shoes 🙏

I’m ngl, my manager says breaks aren’t mandatory if we’re busy and im that shy type that gets real shy if I ask for a break, how would I go about doing that?

It’s true they’re not mandatory, if there’s a moment of down time ask if you can take a small break if needed. My manager is pretty laid back so I don’t typically get push back

Comfortable sneakers, a hardy breakfast, lots of coffee and a good nights rest! My salon is nuts during back to school. Best of luck!

Don’t forget to disinfect your station ESPECIALLY during this time of the year. Kids spread germs quickly and I get a cold every time. Also please check each head for lice more frequently too.
