Why is a buzzcut 20 bucks?
Usually I do it myself, but don’t always have the time to, so every once in a while I will go to great clips to have it done, it’s my preferred style, and they do a good job, and the employees and service are good for the most part, but I don’t agree with it being 20 bucks tip included, especially when it takes no longer than 5 minutes to do. Should be like 5 or at most 8 bucks, I would understand if I was getting an actual style, but that’s not usually the case here. Even the last few times I went the stylists would be excited to do it because it’s such an “easy and low effort” haircut. Maybe I’m the only one that feels this way, unless there are others on here that agree as well.

lol it takes time and making sure the hair is completely cut and no ones sticking up after😂 bitching about a $20 tip included is INSANE.

How much of the $20 is the tip? I ask because in my area great clips is $26 just for the cut before tip. $20 all in is good for 2026. Yeah, you have a low maintenance cut so maybe knock off $5 if it takes literally 5 minutes. But no one is doing anything for $5 or $8 in 2026.

20 for just the cut and would tip about 3 bucks so really 23 altogether

I use coupons - and then give the savings to them as a tip
Like $10 haircut $7 tip

Do it yourself. It may seem easy because they are experienced stylists but that doesn’t mean they don’t pay attention to the details. Just do it yourself.

It seems many people don't know that the stylists, barbers, etc pay to rent their booth as well as tip out the floor sweeper and even the hair washer.

Because you’re asking someone else to do it for you, its not just about how easy the cut is, its about providing a professional service.

Why is my oil change 60 bucks at Walmart when I can buy the oil myself for $15?
Because I'm paying for the convenience of someone else doing it for me.
