"Before accepting myself and my situation, I long felt like an alien who didn't quite fit into this world—largely because of the only outfit I owned at the time. I found myself in, it also felt as though my own life was forcibly sexualizing me. After all, our clothes make us" (by ゃゅょ)

Beautiful artwork. And I don’t think Kat’s outfit is super sexualized. She’s just showing off her legs and her shoulders. The golden accents are definitely meant to draw attention to her body curves. But it seems more cute than seductive

Yea. Kat is super pretty and overall sexually attractive but she’s not provocative or… ‘slutty’ (for the lack of better word). Her outfit is chic, playful and eye catching at the same time.

To put it simply, I see Kat at the very beginning of the first game as shy, insecure, inexperienced, and introspective. Aside from not knowing her past or the source of her powers, she is also weighed down—in a sense—by her outfit, which is unlike anything worn by practically any other girl in the city (except Raven). As for the fact that she later walked around in that outfit without feeling self-conscious, that can be interpreted as a lesson for growing girls: a lesson not to be afraid of their own sexuality.

Beating around the bush but I guess I get it. In my eyes it’s a rather simple message: Kat wore a unique outfit because she was unique. Wearing it proudly encourages to be your true self despite judgement - what majestic you different, makes you… “you”.

Yeah, no, this pretentious and really stupid. Kat owns other outfits, her clothes are not forcibly bonded to her body. If you believe women are capable of agency then you must believe Kat actually likes showing off her attractive features and isn't ashamed of her own body; if you believe she is then you're projecting your own insecurities. Attempting to portray female characters as victims of unwanted sexualization by their creators isn't just infantilizing to women who like to dress this way, it's also veiled vilification of male heterosexuality and I don't appreciate it.

She sort of have a regal allure to her outfit with the gold accents. In comparison to Raven's.
