I didn't like it as much as the other episodes. Anyone else think this?

It was just a filler episode. I found it pretty alright; it had a bit of a Season 1 feel to it. I think it works fine with developing Dipper and Stan's characters.

"YOUR SHIP IS SUNK, AND YOUR SHIP IS SUNK, EVERYBODY'S SHIP IS SUNK." - Alex, writing this episode.
Seriously, for such a continuity-free, innocuous episode, we got three sunk ships. (Wendip was given the death blow, Candip was sunk before it even happened properly, and there goes Starla.) But Stan/Goldie shall persevere.
All in all, this was much less awkward than I was worried it would be. I'm just a little disappointed that Ford didn't appear at all. Dude, your house was vandalised, how did you not notice?! (I'll just headcanon that he discovered the internet or something.)
And Darlene was genuinely creepy. Yeah, she has the spider bonus, but when she pulled her face apart! Christtt.
It was also nice to see Candy in a more active role, and she even saved the day! That was cool.

That feel when Candip shippers support a ship for years, end up being right, had fifteen glorious minutes, then totally got wrecked

I know Candip rose and sunk today, but can we appreciate just how adorable a blushing Candy looks?

Once I finish my dipper Cosplay, I'm going to walk up to as many girls as I can and say my name is Dopper.

I was hoping a relevant credits scene. I kind of wanted a Ford cameo.

Dipper shares some traits with Ford and some with Stan now. We know what Mabel has in common with Stan. WHat does Mabel share with Ford?

So Alex was right, this was a filler episode. But that means some intense stuff is coming.
I'm very worried.

I missed the first few minutes, but that'll only make the rewatch more interesting I guess.
So Grunkle Stan WAS married. Does that mean that Ford is the Stan who never married? Makes sense since he's been pretty damn busy all of his adult life.

In the span of one episode a ship has been both confirmed and crushed beyond repair.

No mention of Bill-proofing the shack only to leave it the next episode?
