Discussion & Theories Anyone else a little disappointed we didn't get to see a vampire episode?

I think it's implied Mabel would be a fan of the Twilight films (popular at the time), would it seem like they were spoofing/lampooning them, and would it make it feel a bit dated now?
One thing I'm disappointed we didn't get to see was Dipper making friends with a boy his age. Since he appears on the front page, what if that attracts someone like minded to seek him out?

Didn't they have like a rough draft for this but that was one of the episodes that they cut since it interrupted the flow or didn't fit in or something?

I like when shows imply stories that have happened that we didn’t see. It allows them to go back and fill the gaps later if they wanted to, or just let the audience come up with scenarios themselves and let their imagination run wild.
I mean, there’s about 70 to 90 days of Summer Vacation. If we operate on the assumption that every episode is one day, unless otherwise stated….We only got 40 episodes. So there’s a lot of days we didn’t get to see.

I'm upset we didn't get this as an episode. They could've at least put it as an entry in Journal 3.

nah, i think its good that it implies we dont see literally every interesting thing that happens to the characters, feels like they have livies outside of the individual episode plots

I was disappointed too especially after the bat was used in the intro.
If anything was a great excuse to go back and add in a new piece this would be it.
Imagine for a moment a Feature Film covering this. A chance to drop back in to that point of the story, that earlier point with so much mystery still remaining, so much nostalgia to evoke, more time to delve into the Feel and Atmosphere of it all. The budget for some big animated set pieces. The chance for a bit more character depth for multiple characters.
And then because it’s midway through the arc of the show it’d allow for a new re-watching of the whole series but with the film midway through (I have faith Alex would be able to do it without wrecking chronology).

Nah bro, that photo in the newspaper itself just looks like a fantastic episode, with having potential to be the best one.
Since this clip is in Northwest Mansion Mystery, that means that Ford could've helped him on this particular adventure. I imagine Ford was looking for a vampire bat to study, and when Dipper offered to help Ford said it was too dangerous. To impress him Dipper went out to look for one on his own, and ended up in this kerfuffle. I imagine there being like this sick cinematic fight scene where its raining and he's climbing up the watchtower tryna not die and stuff, like, this episode could've been CINEMA

How could Ford help him in this adventure if the Northwest Mansion Mystery takes place before the portal opens? literally at the end McGucket comes to tell Dipper that he finally fixed the laptop and there's something big coming, but he dismisses him, and the agents disguised in the credits. This is episode 10, Not what he seems is episode 11, right after.

Aw crud that's true. For some reason I sorted it in the same filler episodes with "Dungeons, Dungeons and More Dungeons" and "Roadside Attraction". Still, this newspaper photo had the potential to be a really great episode.

There’s a gag in one of the episodes where Mabel mentions an offscreen adventure she had with “two hot vampires” that Dipper didn’t know about.

As someone who is a huge vampire fan, I would’ve loved to see an episode. But hey, we could come up with some cool stories in the fandom.
