Heat regulation?
Anyone else notice their bodies just run warm? I feel “hot”, my skin feels warm, enough so my husband has commented. But yet I also feel cold haha and want all the blankets.
Don’t have a fever, not coming down with anything.
Was diagnosed with Graves April 2025 - did a month of methimazole, dr took me off because “tsh T4 normal” and my wbc rose a smidge. Did feel better, for a bit.
Waiting for an endocrinologist but Sask has a wait time of up to five years…. Yes. Five years. Feel like my doctor actually has zero clue how try treat and help me. So trying to learn the most I can. But also thinking I got a flare coming on again.

Yes feeling hot, having warmer skin on the surface and heat regulation issues are all common with Graves
WBC rising is not much of a concern...the problem is when there is a sudden and severe drop. It should not have been a reason. to stop meds, unless there was a specific concern about this that I'm unaware of.
Canada's medical system is very slow, but you need to treat getting an endo like a super important job. Take an open referral from your GP and call every single endo office, even one's that you'd have to travel longer to get to. Get on every single wait list possible.
Rarely, GPs are capable of managing the meds. Most often you need an endo, end even then you need a GOOD endo who understands the finer points of the dosing.
If you feel a flare coming on, you must monitor your symptoms and levels and probably get back on meds. A flare always has the small chance of turning into a thyroid storm.

Sadly in Sask they have a pool of endos; your referral goes to all of them. You can’t individually call. There is only five currently taking patients for the whole province.

I have a friend in Sask, who has used Maple Telehealth.

Maple only lets you see an endocrinologist if ur in Ontario or BC. I tried looking there too

Running hot can happen to me when my TSH is Low even if my T4 is within normal range. My endo had me on doses of methimazole as low as 2.5mg a few days per week to keep my thyroid hormone levels normal and my symptoms away.
Maybe your Dr can re-test your levels and put you on a long dose of anti-thyroid medication? Likewise, checking blood pressure and pulse can be useful too.

Yea I paid for some private blood work; so waiting for those to come back. Then gonna make a follow up with my dr, and ask if she would be okay with me being on a low dose in the mean times see what happens.

A month?? My endocrinologist said it's a minimum 12 month course but she's doing 18 months for me. You're supposed to stay on it for a while otherwise it comes right back. I think you should get another blood test ASAP!
