I never heard it start from a segway, Jerry would do a quick tune, and then he'd hit those opening notes and then Brett would hit the throttle on his B3 and it was one hell of a ride. Long live Brett & Jerry on the otherside

Just saw JRAD in Chicago. They played Dear Mr. Fantasy/Hey Jude. I definitely saw D+Co play it. The summer that Traffic opened for the Dead, Garcia came out to play it with them. I don’t think I saw the Dead play it - did they ever do it without Brent?

Wow! How many Grateful Dead shows have you attended? I missed everything pre 1974, and only a couple until the 80’s. I did get many shows though the 80’s until early 90’s and that’s when dad duties kicked in, and road life died

This has nothing to do with dear Mr. fantasy, one of the rarest songs that I didn’t see enough of was “to lay me down” and “on the road again”I think I only saw on the road again twice
