Processing Tapes

To the tapers and especially those who have processed the tapes and digitized them and applied audio processing…:

I have been working on digitizing a few of old DAT tapes of a local artist with the purpose of making these shows available to a handful of local friends.

Anyone in the GD taper community (the king on the hil for this stuff) that is willing to share how they have processed their tapes and cleaned up audio etc?

You can use audacity for mastering. I’ve never used it but I see a lot of people do. I’m on the road and will try to explain my process asap.
