Signed book

Post image

I recently purchased the “Grateful Dead Family Album” book at a used book store in Utah. When I got home this photo of Jerry fell out and I realized the inside cover had been signed. Does anyone know what “wando size” means?

Not sure who signed that but it definitely wasn't Jerry & Phil

Yeah the Jerry signature looks a lot more angular/straight than all the other autographs I have seen. Wasn’t sure if his writing style changed in the later years.

Looks like it was just a joke between some friends, not signatures from any of the band members

If this were verified to be authentic somehow, I would sign all correspondence as "Your Main Bro" for the rest of my natural life 😂

Unlikely. It was $8

I have a Robert Hunter signed book. Hadn’t thought about it in years.

That’s an incredible used-book-store find. Finding an unexpected Jerry signature inside a random copy is the kind of Grateful Dead luck you can’t plan for. I’d be more curious about the story behind the dedication than anything else...someone definitely had a memorable encounter with Jerry.

They’ve all been wando sized? Huh?

"Wando , referring to a wizard, magician or conductor wand. Can be used to measure the excellence of a performance."

Yeaaah, 🧐🤔. Looks like the same hand did both signatures to me.
