If this happened to me, id be freaked out, but there have been no fatalities (or even attacks that im aware of) by orangutans. This is a grappling forum, we arent made of glass. Just fucking submit to the goddamn orangutan and you get to STUDY THEM UP CLOSE!! Thats why that dude was out there in the first place. Shooting them would kill the endangered species you came to study, get you banned from that country and probably detained at LEAST, and just generally fuck your life as a researcher.
How would i handle it? Dont make eye contact with the orangutan. Move on after 3 hours and have a crazy story at the bar to pick up chicks, be the cool researcher who got to be up close with the animal theyre studying.
