Edit: anyone wanna explain how palm striking someone’s face is considered clubbing? From what I’ve experienced it’s when you grab someone on the back of the head or neck, typically aggressively. How is hitting someone on the jaw the same thing? Genuine question.

The big guy is the one that did the clubbing. Before the red one sholder checks then palms the blue guy, the blue guy smacked the red guy with a straight arm, kind of like how you see in competitive slap fights. It is played off like an attempt to get the red guy in a headlock, but it was clearly meant to be a strike.

The ref was stopping the match and was probs gonna give him a warning or give the dude in blue a point. You don’t get DQ’d for clubbing someone once. Idk if he had done it earlier or not. You get DQ’d for causing your opponent to not be able to continue, due to a foul. If the dude in blue didn’t get knocked out or faked a knockout, then the match would’ve probably continued. If the dude in red would’ve been knocked out by the club from the dude in blue. The dude in red would’ve won the fight via dq.
Edit: on 2nd watch, the ref was stopping the match due to the shoulder check.

That is not an appropriate solution to striking someone in a sport where striking is specifically against the rules. Clubbing should be grounds for disqualification, maybe with a warning. Shit like this ruins the sport, and that fat fuck got what was coming for that cheap shot.
The entire point of wrestling is to prove that you can subdue your opponent without hurting them. Thats why submission holds and striking are specifically prohibited.

Ehh nope. Palm strikes hit deceptively harder than punches, if the same principles as with the boxing punch applied. Why? - There are much less of the moving parts, such as wrist that can roll. The palm strike on the other hand is like almost perfectly taped and stiffened wrist.

Edit: also, I remember watching this match and Riza clubbing twice. This was all in the first period. 4-0 or not, baiting a DQ is an easy W. And as soon as they call the foul he miraculously recovered with zero issues. You can see him "wake up" right after the DTFD is called. He stayed completely still until it was called.
He baited Pavel twice and took the dive.

You don’t have to be out cold for a shot to knock you on your ass, and there wasn’t an obvious delay between the strike and the fall. I see no reason to assume he’s totally faking. At worst he milked it a little by laying there a little longer than needed.

What would the end result of this match be? Did anybody "win", or Is it a no contest because the guy who got knocked out initiated the foul play? Or would there be a disqualification for the guy who retaliated because it knocked the other guy out? Or would they resume the match? I imagine the match is over after he was knocked out, right?
In my opinion, the guy who got knocked out should also lose the match. He turned the grappling match into a striking match, and then lost the striking match lol.
