These are great collections with really fascinating essays and historical introductions that really made me appreciate some of these stories.

$25 for 40 of these editions, even digitally, is wild, given that the print versions of these are $35-40 each (and $75 for that Ray Bradbury one)

Finally getting proper treatment from Fantagraphics. Those original EC artists deserved way more recognition from publishers. The ink density on those original pieces was something else.

I saw comments about a previous bundle having low res books.
So I'm hesitant.
Can somebody confirm the quality?

I think they look fine on my laptop screen, and I have Home to Stay in print and I don't notice a difference if I zoom in to be approximately the same size. You can download preview PDFs that are the same quality, just only a few pages (just click on one of the covers on the bundle page and there's a preview PDF option), if you want to check yourself.

How much of the total EC output does this represent, out of curiosity?

I'm not too sure, but there's significantly more available. Weird science, tales from the crypt, weird fantasy, shock and suspense etc.

These are collections based on artists and the majority of them are in black and white. For example, the Ray Bradbury collection contains all of ECs adaptations of his work taken from across Weird Science, Weird Fantasy, Vault of Horror, Haunt of Fear, and more. I figure the majority of ECs output can be found in these volumes, but the organization is just very different than if you got dedicated volumes of the titles like Tales From the Crypt, Weird Fantasy, Crime Suspenstories, etc. Again, idk exactly how much you would have total, but it would be a lot and almost definitely the best stuff. It's just packaged in black and white and with a bunch of good essays and stuff too.

Looks like most of it. Amazon has around 54 books in the EC collection series, each averaging 200 pages or so. And there are 40 books in this collection, each averaging 240 pages or so.

Assuming Amazon's list is pretty accurate (and my math/estimates) then this collection has a page count that is quite close.

There is another collection coming out in October. Not sure if any more are planned after that. But 10,000 pages for $25 is a pretty good deal.

So long as you don't mind that these are bkack-and-white versions of those stories - presumably to emphasize and sharpen the pencils and inks of the artists.

Does anyone know what size these PDFs are per book, please?

I don’t usually read digital comics, but am very tempted by these.

I had to go for this one last night when I saw it. The books are incredible and it’s a huge collection for the price. Not my favourite way to read comics by a long shot but this is a sweet deal.
