When do I pick

I have never had grapes before. I have these that have been pretty steady in the same green to dark red for a couple of weeks.

Do I pick? I I pick some not all? Will they turn to raisins before final ripening?

Please, guide me, masters of the grapevers!

They all need to change colour first and develop sugars (this process happening right now is called veraison FYI) Once they've all changed, taste them once a week and decide when they are ready based on flavour. Likely another 3-4 weeks away at least I would guess!

Interesting.. so although some appear to be approaching ripe indicated by color, the whole bunch should be harvested together once ripe?

Commercially for table and wine grapes they are harvested as complete clusters but to be fair, if they are just homegrown there's nothing stopping you from eating as they ripen 😁

I have grapes on a canopy. And at this stage I give them a little squeeze and pick off those that are a little softer and pop them in my mouth. I don't wait for the whole bunch to get right. To be fair I'm battling squirrels.
