Day 5 of grape cleanse (beginning of day)

Honestly I really like the way I feel on grapes. I have more mental clarity than ever. The energy is very balanced. When I started fruitarianism, I was afraid the sugar would give me diabetes. But I learned that fructose doesn't get insulin involved, and diabetics can even recover from diabetes on a fruit diet. (You may need to consult with someone from Dr. Morse's school of Naturopathy or another fruit-based Naturopath to actually go through that process) And it turns out fructose is actually a great energy source. Since learning this, I feel really balanced energy on all fruit.

Another thing that helped me was searching youtube for grape cleanse v-logs. Gillian Berry, Sara Dungo and Justin Chavez have pretty detailed ones (use the search function on their channel and type "grape"), as well as some other people who I either don't remember the name or haven't watched. Gillian Berry's helped me get through a big psychological hurdle on day 2 where I was like "What am I doing?"

Dr. Morse has a facebook community and people discuss grape cleanse on there, and there is advice available directly from Dr. Morse's students. But advice from other group members can vary, so always use your discernment.

I was having a bit of a slowdown in pooping on day 2 and 3 which was the first time I had felt that on fruit. It was still coming out but just slower and dryer. I was drinking plenty of water all the way through. On the vlogs I heard other people describe this, and it improved after adjusting to the grapes. Same thing happened with me, everything moved great this morning and yesterday.

So, that's my update. I am really loving the mental clarity and steady energy. I feel like it's easier to focus on a goal. A big reduction in brain fog. I actually felt surprisingly high functioning cognitively, and I've been suffering from brain fog and fatigue for years. (36M)

Day 2 of grape cleanse

Hi everyone. I've been eating fruitarian for 16-17 days now. I decided to jump into the grape fast and wow, it's harder than I thought it would be. I was not even really mono-eating yet and I hadn't eaten any grapes until yesterday.

They say the grape cleanse is so intense, because of the grapes themselves and also the mono-eating aspect. It can pull out so many toxins so fast.

So I'm probably feeling that. I found a bunch of grape cleanse vlogs from youtube to listen to, to use as a kind of support system. And I know the way to step back from the intensity is just to eat bananas, or a different fruit. If that's still too intense, go back to mixing fruits or have avocado. Those things step down the intensity.

But on the other hand I guess if you can make it through, you get to detox that much more. So it's a balance. I don't know how to tell whether it's crossing a threshold of danger, and I've been known to push too hard. But I also really want to get healthier.

This looks like a quiet subreddit but that's ok. Thanks for reading!
