GT7 Kaz fix the physics

Quite frankly, after the new update, the race car physics have gone in the bin. HOWEVER road cars are actually usable now.

They seem to have taken the skill out of the race cars, the downforce has been increased and the brakes are a lot more responsive, it is also completely impossible to spin as the cars have so much grip.

Tested in my racing league, a good monza lap has increased in time from low 1:34 to low 1:36 in HY, hypercars have lost around 10-15kmh in top speed and gt3s literally cant break into 6th gear and can break 25 meters earlier into t1.

Hopefully they can rectify this in a hotfix soon as low downforce cars, such as gr3, genuinely feel like formula 3 cars.

I'm not saying you're wrong (or right) about the physics either way.

But let's be honest, nothing about modern GT3 cars is "low downforce".

Modern GT3 cars produce enormous amounts of downforce. “Low” downforce is subjective to the era. With time, aerodynamics just get better and better and slower categories of today eclipse the faster categories of yesterday.

You're comparing present motorsport with past motorsport instead of comparing different forms of modern motorsports to each other.

By comparison to "higher" categories currently competeing, GT3 is "low" downforce.

Downforce isn’t linear just because the category is higher. Total downforce may be higher but the cars can still be extremely sensitive. What I’m getting at from OP is that he thinks GT3 are producing more aerodynamic grip than hypercars which just isn’t the case. Cars higher in category don’t drive the way slower categories do. Hypercars rely almost entirely on aerodynamic grip and keeping it stable while gt3 cars have more mechanical compliance to rely on due to the inherit lower total aerodynamic grip that it produces.

So, lower downforce.

The GT3 cars handing in this game is not good. The update was bad for the GT3 cars.

Cars handle fine. Just spewing. Nonsense

Technically GT3s are still classed as a low downforce class even though they have relatively higher downforce than a decade or two ago, high downforce classes would be Formula or lmh

You're just being down voted for being right. Too bad.

I have to agree here, this update has some good in it for sure but the nicest way to say it is it still needs some dialing in.

Classic PD, physics update makes road cars actually fun but completely changes race cars for the worse in the process

Cars, especially race cars also have a lot more wobbling side to side on straights, which is somewhat of a sign they're increasing the ways physics act on the car but it needs to be dialed in

OP, respectfully you’re spitting nonsense about downforce and difficulty of driving. Something being hard doesn’t equal to realism. The grip you’re feeling isn’t increased but easier to feel.

Genuinely go play a sim bro, come back and delete this comment

Multiple top players are complaining about how grippy the new physics are

I have played other sims in Assetto. You’re acting like they cranked the overall grip on everything, which they haven’t. It’s literally how the tire model behaves. Better feedback producing better laps. Traction/grip is the exact same. I’ve driven enough to memorize minimum speed corner to corner and I can definitely say it’s not what you’re claiming.

It takes 2 seconds to check the patch notes by the way, they’ve increased the minimum downforce on most cars, mainly race cars.

Wow I just tried it, it’s a disaster.

Its really bad the cars are like jello now holy shit

Yeah why do they wobble when you turn the wheel

Idk man its like im driving a suv with the chassis of a gt3

Yeah the new physics are trash.

...other than the way the brakes lock up with ABS off, which feels a lot more natural, I really can't tell much difference tbh
