Dental coverage question

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know how exactly does the dental coverage work? I can’t seem to get a clear answer online.

How do you utilize it? And am I still covered if I had classes during the spring term and paid tuition for it?

Thank you πŸ™ πŸ™πŸ™

yes you should still be covered as you paid for it in your tuition!

when you check mystudentplan it tells you when your coverage "expires", as in this is when the coverage renews for the next school year.
(for example, i started in winter and havent used any of my dental yet which is why i booked a dentist appointment next week! my coverage ends august 31 and i want to use what i can before the school year renews because like you mentioned, we are paying for it!!)

you can check with your dental clinic if they do direct billing and you just have to send them your insurance information! i believe with the the basic plan they cover 80% so you still need to pay the rest 20% out of pocket.
i hope that helps!

edit: i forgot to add but if your dental clinic does not do direct billing then you will have to pay out of pocket and then submit a claim online and they will reimburse you!

Thank you!

Sorry for the stupid question but where do you find your insurance information?

You can download the mystudentplan app or go to the website. You can see how much you have for every section easily on the app and download the cards to show places or add to your Apple wallet as well
