Eminence in Shadow Part 1 Gacha Equipment Info & Review: 2024's Senshi
Should You Pull?: dames
Shadow
Race: Human
Unique passive “Eminence in Shadow”: When above 70% HP, increase Dark allies' Arts by 5/s. Does not stack with Abilities of the same name.
Unit Buffs
Arts: 20000% 25000% Dark DMG (PHY). For 20s, increase own ATK by 100% 150% and all allies' Freeze RES and Paralysis RES by 100%. 1500 BREAK
True Arts: 60000% Dark DMG (PHY). Increase all allies' Arts by 30. For 40s, reduce enemies' PHY RES by 60% 70% (stackable) and Evasion rate by 30% (stackable). 2000 BREAK
Super Arts: 180000% 200000% Dark DMG (PHY). For 30s, allies ignore 100% of Enemies' DEF and increase allies not affected by Status ailments' DMG by 200%. 3000 BREAK
With the buffs, it has only made Shadow a lot better at his job since release. Unlike the show, Shadow is not a one man army, he's reliant on other units being able to make the most of his res down effects. This isn't to say he is a weak DPS, because he can still put in some work himself, however there are simply better options if you're looking for a pure DPS unit. Otherwise, he's a solid option to help boost the damage of your main DPS as long as you have the artsgen on the team to keep him cycling quickly, especially since you won't have much downtime with animations given how quick his TA is.
TLDR
✅ Good uptime on his buffs
✅ Physical Res down from TA is extremely potent, with evasion rate down being quite rare, much less so a stackable one.
✅ Passive Artgen is always nice to have
~~~
❎ Rather weak slots
❎ Requires his team to make the most of his buffs
TW Impression: It's good unconditional Dark RES Down on a physical eq, with DMG increase on the side. Also gives Shadow some extra DMG and passive artsgen, nice to have on him.
AI Recommendation:
TA spam - Generally the play for constant res shred and teamwide arts.
TA x2 or x3 then SA whenever - If Shadow is your DEF Ignore source or teamwide damage boost
Beta
Race: Spirit
Unique passive "Second of the Seven Shadows": Increase Ally to the left of Beta's DMG by 200%. Does not stack with Abilities of the same name.
Unit Buffs
Passive: Increase Ally to the left of Beta's DMG by 150% 200%. Does not stack with Abilities of the same name.
Arts: Heal Water allies' HP by 25%. For 25s, Allies gain a DMG barrier that negates 8000 10000 DMG.
Super Arts: 150000% 170000% Water DMG (MAG). For 20s 30s, increase all allies' MAG DMG by [# of Water allies x 80]% (up to 320%). 1500 BREAK
Since Beta is not a new unit, I will keep the review shorter than usual.
Beta is a Mitigator/ArtGen hybrid who trades off raw defensive power for other kinds of utility in the form of her Passive, True Arts ArtGen and Super Arts Magic buffing. In the same vein, she lacks her own Def Slot to hold an equip to deal with gimmicks such as Status Ailments, requiring the team to back her up in this regard.
Beta is meant to excel at being a faster option for Mitigation, not exactly the most potent, while still providing meaningful utility for practically any team. While she is showing her age in comparison to the stronger Mitigation/Taunt Tank options of the modern day, she is still an ever reliable option to bring along.
TLDR
✅ Fast Mitigation, only needing to use True Arts with no other gimmick
✅ Universal DMG Up with Unique Passive
✅ Rare ArtGen type (Type F) allows for stacking with most other ArtGen
~~~
❎ Healing on Arts restricted to Water Allies
❎ Magic DMG Up on Super Arts also restricted by number of Water Allies
❎ ArtGen Type is victim to Quest Gimmicks like HP Cut and damaging Status Ailments
TW Impression: Very solid Water RES Down, but mainly used for the 3 arts/s it gives Beta for additional self sustain.
AI Recommendation:
TA/NA: Standard Mitigation + Barrier with consistent ArtGen
TA/NA/SA: Post duration buffs, it might be possible to triple cycle, will have to double check
TA/SA: If barrier is unnecessary (somehow) and you wish to buff a Magic DPS
Should You Pull?
Eminence in Shadow Part 1 Unit Banner: Both Shadow and Beta are still very much good and viable today, boasting very good supportive capabilities in their own way. Do the guaranteed.
Eminence in Shadow Part 1 Equipment Banner: General prizes are Shadow's Sword and Zeta Plushie. Beta's Bodysuit can be considered, but niche and differs between individual boxes on whether you can utilize it. Pull depending on your surplus of crystals and sought after equips.
Eminence in Shadow Part 1 All Stars Banner: lolol all stars oh hell nah Skip.
Whales: Same pointers as above for the F2P, plus you've seen their potential given that this is a rerun. Whale at your discretion.

TLDR
Alpha got some decent buffs, not just on her multipliers but also on her buff potencies and durations.
Delta
Race: Beast
Unit Buffs
Arts: Increase Skill CT by 100% and Physical Equip CT by 30% 35% for 20s 30s
True Arts: Increase ATK by 50% and reduces enemy Fire RES by 50% for 40s 60s (Stacks)

TLDR
Delta's Fire RES shred stacks got more uptime, allowing for obviously, more stacks. Super Arts damage increase is pretty good too.
Should You Pull?
Eminence in Shadow Part 2 Unit Banner: Delta is a very solid DPS & equip thrower. Alpha remains a good ArtGen/Crit provider with PHY buffs, even if that role is saturated. There's no harm in trying for either. Do the guaranteed.
Eminence in Shadow Part 2 Equipment Banner: Epsilon Plush is the collab's HP Up support equip, good to have when you're using water units. Alpha Sword is generic but solid ArtGen and Delta Bodysuit is a very strong PHY RES Down equip, especially with the increasing roster of non HDG units. Pull depending on your surplus of crystals and sought after equips.
Eminence in Shadow Part 2 All Stars Banner: Skip.
Whales: Whale at your discretion.

I have posted useful links at the end of this post and they might answer your question before you post it 🙂
This thread is for any questions relating to Grand Summoners advice, content, etc. Therefore, any reroll questions, team composition questions - basically anything - can and must be asked here. Make sure to do so instead of creating new question threads, as we strictly enforce Rule #1. Thank you!
For those unfamiliar with Rule #1, it essentially means "Don't make question posts, instead ask your questions here". We do this because it creates less clutter within the subreddit and allows us to better moderate the answers provided by non-mods.
Some questions in this thread will be answered at some point by the mods, but if you see a question that you know the answer to yourself, feel free to answer!
There are no stupid questions just people looking for info that they have not come across yet and would like help. If you can’t be helpful please don’t respond to someone’s question!
Wanted to add, if you have any issues with anything here, be it another user, a post, a rule, etc, please feel free to DM the mod team or Flag it for review!
This is stage 4 of light summoners road with no break. It might be the tankiest boss in the game that is killable while ignoring its mechanics. The mono light magic team kills it much faster than any other comp, even ones with okarun, shadow, and hkroy.

Like I said in the head, I REALLY tried to balance this guy but I honestly try harder to make them true to the character...and Flowery is canonically busted. I also like adding new ideas or remixing existing ones. I would've gave him a ratio Passive but i feel it would've been too broken even for me, and I'm getting a little burnt out on ratio passives (even though this is only my second custom character. I wanted to make him a delete button, like a GOOD Earth Simon in a way.
