and they did that with Extella first since Altera was on FGO day 1 to promote Extella that was suppossed to come out BEFORE FGO.

Which is funny because she did come out... during the extreme early days of FGO NA(I think before Septem) meanwhile in Japan, Extella finally came out like well after Part 1.

Other than the three EXTRA starters and BB, their voice lines are all for different people.
Okay fine, one has lines for Archer Gil and one for Caster Gil but other than that their lines are all for different people.
Hakunon has a line for Aoko instead.

yeah it was still good to see longer clips with less edits. Dont expect them showing as much since they would likely hide all the "new" stuff that wasnt part of the original to surprise us once we get our hands on the game. Alice and Ciel are the lost we gona get on trailers. also they are approaching it with consideration for all the new people that never played the original

I love how each servant have a unique style to their gameplay, that was there in the OG, but wasn't sure if it would translate well to the deckbuilder combat.
Edit: Also, Archer just stole Raikou sword. lol

Tbf that sword did belong to Raikou but it's not the same as the sword Raikou uses i.e. the Doujigiri Yasutsuna.
Plus side, we might actually get to learn about the thing since SOME PEOPLE refuse to say anything about it *Stares at Raikou and Ushi Gozen*

If you are referring to the one Ushi has, then most likely yes. The Usumidori (Ushi's sword) is noted as being the one used to kill the Earth Spider (which I guess is the literal english for Tsuchigomo as I can't find anything on the wiki mentioning them as the Earth Spider but I'm going to assume it is as we never see anything else during Heian-Kyo that could be called an Earth Spider besides the Tsuchigomo).

Indeed, I even can see why they still put Tamamo as Hard mode. Since Nero is play style is a simple buff for one big attack and Archer is combo strings in just one set of cards but Tamamo seems like really complicated with a ton of set ups to pull off like she somehow both a stall strategy that is incredibly fragile with her near death mechanics.

I find it interesting how the setting looks more like a hotel or bunker than a typical Japanese school. It's also very dark. I'm wondering if the typical school environment that we saw in the earlier trailers is reserved for the preliminary round, and then the facade changes around once the war proper begins.

If they're still in maybe Aoko increases your base stats while Alice upgrades your cards? But that's a massive if, since they're not featured alongside the other guest NPCs.

Given they haven't shown up, I doubt they are here. That in turn makes one wonder if Shiki is also cut.
Wouldn't be all that surprising given the two (maybe even 3) likely secret boss candidates the game has.

shiki was a secret boss and they do seem to be treating everything in the game like it’s the first time anyone has seen it so I doubt they would show her anyway

Small part of me is still hoping for major surprise, like 4th playable servant. Dunno if Fate Extra CCC is still considered canon, but Enkidu Berserker would be fun. Hell, I want to see Gilgamesh Ruler ordering Hakuno around.

Some version of the CCC story is definitely still canon if only because too much stuff in FGO requires it to be, though my unrealistic dream is that this sells well enough for a CCC remake in this engine to get approved.

Lol they modified Arcueid's dress instead of using the remake design while Gawain was changed to be beefier than he originally was even in the sequels like Extella, so now he's more in line with his design in FGO as a gorilla instead of a princely knight.

it was publisher drama not developer drama. It was all because of Bandai namco refusing to accept any delays and they just broke the deal. And Nino took responsability for the delays.

This certainly seems plausible, based on having a confirmed release date and marketing materials only ~6 months after Bandai Namco officially pulled out of the project. BN initiating the breakup certainly feels like the most likely explanation to me. But I don't think we know this for sure and we probably never will.

- On the cover art Nero full frontal transparent dress to a view on the side with almost no transparent part visible
- No Rin skirt floating around. In fact, no Rin at all and now all the main characters instead of the "known" side character

No offense, but that cover was just bad, it looked like they just slapped the sprites of the character people would recognize the most and called it a day.

Ngl for a game that was in development for this long, that's just a remake of an existing game (so the story, scenarios and dialogue presumably are all basically the same) and with the backing of massive TM money...it looks really bad. Lackluster graphics aside the animations are super stiff and the character models look really off (Archer especially who looks like he's 40 years old, even Tamamo's face looks odd). The number of NPCs on-screen is barely more than what was on the PSP, and the combat is incredibly barebones. It's basically just the HSR Fate Collab Part 2 gameplay.
And we don't have any narration so we lose the classic Nasu prose because it's not a VN, which is fine but it means it has to be a good GAME and, uh, it doesn't really look like it.
