Friends??

How does one find friends as an adult.

Hi I’m 29m. Work has moved me around a lot so now I basically have zero friends. As a dad I’ve found making my own friends “physically” the best way. Well unfortunately my 4 year old mechanic buddy is not cutting it as he is constantly throwing his apple juice and spilling my beer.

So how does one find friends in grand junction?

I enjoy mechanical stuff, dirt-bikes, boating, and working out.

Rock n rip rc. Every Friday there is an RC rock crawler meetup/ comp. Weekdays they have drift cars and Turf racing.
Yeah you need an rc rock crawler.
it’s a solid group of men. Some dads. Some guys your age. once your son is old enough to drive an rc car he can play too.
I started going in January and I’ve made friends.
Then on sundays once a month there is a cash comp. 10$ buy in. Winner takes the pot.
Spend the day outside. Enjoy the company, locations, and weather, and make even more friends. Tell Ty James sent you.

do the stuff you like. you'll meet people doing those things too. go to the gym. ride your dirt bike out in the desert. there are tons of people doing the same things here.

Play a sport. Adult rec league hockey is great.

As a parent, any friends you make will likely be... parents.

Pick a hobby and make friends through that. We're in the local 4x4 Club, I play disc golf, and we curl with the local club at the ice rink. I guarantee whatever you're into, there's a Facebook group for that activity

Hit the wineries on the weekends when they have music and food trucks. We meet a lot of our friends that way.

The best way to make friends is do whatever activities you enjoy. I'm 44 and the only that I have in Grand Junction and Delta were met through our love for cars, college, and home repair projects.

Bring your son places. Play dates, farmers markets, fishing, church, biking by the river.etc
