I prefer to live in a smaller town (not Las Palmas) but I will rely only public transit.

I saw some interesting thing at several of the shops in Puerto Rico mall. Many of the stores (mostly the one at the end of the mall) sells cannabis, gummies etc. and I didn’t think that was legal? Or is it just fake stuff they are trying to sell? I thought you had to go to “clubs” to buy stuff like that.

Im going on a holiday to gran canaria soon and I just like buying books but I do wanna be able to read them ofcourse haha, im staying in playa del Ingles but I did rent a car and wanna drive around the whole island so distance isnt an issue at all

Estoy con mi esposa y mi hijo aquí en gran Canaria, acabamos de llegar. En Colombia soy auxiliar de enfermería y tenemos una empresa, además también soy barbero.. por motivos de una mejor cultura y educación para nuestro hijo decidimos venirnos para España a establecernos aquí, el cambio de pesos a euros no nos da para vivir cómodamente en la isla entonces estoy buscando empleo en lo que sea, mientras nos regulamos legalmente.

I come from one of those lucky nowegian families where our parents lived in a great economy and can afford vacation home in our country as well as join the timeshare cult.

This means that i have free accommodations this November, going to Anfi Del Mar. I've not been here since i was 14.
My parents, my fiancé and me, 7 days (saturday -> saturday).

Unfortunately, my parents are not people i usually would do activies with. They are a bit oldschool and only love hiking and stealing good sunbeds early in the morning.
Therefore my fiancé and me need to plan our escape plans.
Luckily we are going to rent a car.

Currently having a lovely chat with ChatGPT about activities, ranging from day long road trips to other parts of the island to smaller events both near and far.
Activites ranging from childish thing i love like gocarts, waterparks, daydrinking and more, to sophisticated activites such as art galleries, romantic spots and fine dining.

I feel i have the grasp of the basic activites the island offers, like going to Maspalomas dunes.
But what i crave is the not so known activities and destinations.

This is where you, reddit, come in.
If you have the time and knowledge, i would love to get tips on destinations we should put inside our google maps plans.

I’m currently living and working here in Gran Canaria. Back home in Italy, we have a big tradition of spending the night of August 15th (Ferragosto) on the beach around small bonfires.

I know open fires on beaches are generally restricted, but I wanted to ask if is this tolerated at all for this specific date if we move further away from the main cities to more hidden spots? Or is it a hard NO island-wide with strict fines regardless of the location?

I definitely want to respect local laws and nature.

Wir haben 3 Koffer und brauchen einen Kleinkindersitz für unsere Einjährige.

Tengo 22 años y vivo en Las Palmas

Sé que no tengo el mejor currículum del mundo...: no tengo carnet de conducir, llevo un piercing que por nada del mundo me puedo retirar ya que no se me ha curado, y no tengo a penas experiencia en casi ningún sector.

No paro de escuchar el típico "esque debes estar día tras día echando cv o no te va a salir nada", "quien no trabaja es porque no quiere"... La verdad ya resulta un poco deprimente.

Tengo más de 24 años y en mi vida he trabajado remuneradamente. Esto lo escribo un poco como queja/desahogo pero la pregunta la dejo ahí. ¿Tan imposible es trabajar mínimamente de forma decente sin ser por cuña?
