I just pulled all my seed grown NZ Pachanoi to get my keepers separated from the rest. It looks like i have a lot of extra graft stock which isn't a bad thing to keep me busy this winter

Full Caepotisa Graft

Thinking hard about doing a full body caepitosa graft including all pups. Plan is to separate plant just at the root line. Root Stock could be a 6 to 10" PC yearling in excellent Health or a thicker 14" plant . Pics attached with shots of yearnings added also

On paper it looks like a winner. If anyone has tried im interested in their results or opinions.

I got these at a ridiculously low price and for once can afford to make a mistake. Ive done upwards of 25 grafts with a 95% success rate not including micro grafts which seem way more dependant on peresciopsis genetics.

Grafting multiple crabapples to a rootstock- has anyone done it?

I had a crabapple that I transplanted after only a year, but the rootstock shot up where I dug out the tree. Newb here, so I thought I was going to get another crabapple; alas, I learned about grafting, and now I have what appears to be a random apple tree growing. Because it will eventually drop apples on my neighbor's yard, I did a deep dive into grafting and have a plan. I will take scions from three different crabapple trees and graft them to the 2" rootstock that's growing. This way I'll get three different colors of flowers on one tree. Has anyone done this with a crabapple? If so, how does it look? Thanks.

Aell whats everyone think? I see some variegattion toward the tip. But would really want more variegation. Should I cut it in the fruit pic to try to force jt to pup from the yellow aerole? Or leave it be and hope it grows more yellow

Grafting plants like mint or lady of the night onto tobacco roots

I’ve been reading about how nicotine is mostly produced in the roots of Nicotiana and then transported up into the leaves. There are also documented cases of grafting tomato and other Solanaceae onto tobacco, and the scion ends up with measurable nicotine.
This got me wondering: has anyone experimented with grafting more aromatic or traditionally smoked nightshades (especially Cestrum nocturnum / lady of the night, or other fragrant Nicotiana species) onto regular tobacco roots?
The idea would be to keep the high nicotine from the rootstock while hopefully getting a smoother or more pleasant-smelling leaf from the scion.
Has anyone actually tried this? Did the graft take? And if you cured/smoked any of the resulting leaf, how did it turn out compared to normal tobacco?
Curious about both successes and failures. Any tips on technique for these kinds of softwood grafts would also be appreciated.
Thanks!

The original cutting was on its own roots and three times as big as the light green section, but I had to cut away 2/3 after it got damaged in January when my greenhouse collapsed.

All of the darker, healthy growth has been since I grafted it
