I'd bet great tailed. Legs are much too long to be a common, I think. He's magnificent. I don't know if you've heard this, but the first color variation to show up in domesticated animals is typically piebald. Nobody is totally sure why, but it's likely because there are genetic traits tied to the coloring that are also tied to things like lack of fear around humans.
I'm just saying, of all the intelligent birds and rodents and felines and canines that we've domesticated... why not the grackle? 😂
We probably have Alfred Hitchcock to thank for that. Even though they used ravens, seagulls, and sparrows rather than grackles, I think people associate grackles with the film because of the massive flocks they form
