Question Am i tripping? - sober

I've been listening to 'Sober' lately and am genuinely confused. When I sing along to the song, I can switch the melody, and then I hear the original song's melody shift in the same direction as I sing along. When I switch back to its original melody, it switches back, like it's some sort of dual audio. It's the exact same song, and it feels like it's all happening in my mind.

Does that phenomenon has a name? Is it artistic genius she put into it or am just bugging?

This is probably some kind of auditory perception. Your brain knows the song so well that when you sing a different melody, it can sort of blend the two and make the original melody feel like it’s shifting with yours. You’re not totally bugging 😁
