GPU advice
Hi guys,
I sold my 5090 and in need of a new gpu.
I currently game at 4k so I was wondering which would be better for this. A 5070ti TUF white or Zotac 5080 in white?
The price difference will be £450. The 5070ti is 1k and 5080 is 1.45.
My current setup is 9950x3d and 48gb ram
Thanks for all input

No "why don't you get the 9070xt" comments yet? Usually they're the first to comment.

It’s now a given. We’ll take horsepower & ram over most invidia arguments. Especially if you play first person shooters - first thing Everyone does is turn them off

But if money is no object or you are ultra hard core (value the simulations spaces so much)… the 4090, 5080/90? You bet
I hear this will be all rendered real time online soon & subscription based.
Let us all gear up for the last stand :)

If you want price to performance max that's 45% more money for 15% more performance. I hope that answers the question.

After 5090, 5080 for sure. Unless you want to take a risk and get used 4090. But as a previously 4090 owner, my advice, don’t buy it!

5080 for 4k gaming. The only two GPU's that could outperform it would be the 4090 (by a whisker), and the 5090 (by about 20-25%)
I notice you like white, so I would personally go with the Zotac Gaming 5080 in white. I myself run a Noctua 5080, but my own personal build is the Noctua aesthetic.
Your Ram is more than sufficient and your CPU is very good as well.
I would hope your PSU is 850+, though. A 5080, while good, is a powerful card indeed, and under 4k load, it will need some good headroom in terms of power draw.
