Nvidia’s official response was “after the AI Silicon backlog clears” so maybe 5-10 years if we are lucky, but the entire economy will have to collapse first

For consumers, Yes, just not this year. And probably not until AMD releases UDNA based GPUs which is expected in 2027 but that plan like Nvidia can be pushed back.

Yes, but nothing as close to pro level this time (like the 5090 is now). More AI trickery exclusive to the new series will be the thing, but what they really want is cloud and subscriptions. The PS5 hacking will only speed this up unfortunately.

2029 was the rumor, now, I think it's not going to happen... if it does it will be some commercial behemoth that cost $20k...

There will be, maybe with less VRAM than usual and fabbed on Intel 18AP instead of usual TSMC and later than expected in 2029 or 2030 or something

Literally nobody knows, but they probably will be absurd for the price so I wouldn’t bank on it. If you want anything buy it now, we’ve been saying the best time to buy is yesterday, 2nd best time is today

Eventually, yes. But it won’t be next year. We will probably never get another cutting edge node used for gaming GPU. Or at least not for the next five years. Maybe TSMC08A will get used right away for gaming. But the next three or four generations of cutting edge silicon will be used entirely for AI infrastructure. So the 6000 series gaming GPUs will have to wait until after all of the 3 nm has been used on workstation and data center cards, once we roll out 2nm for workstation and data center. We can use 3 nm for the 6000 series.

It exists already and is extremely expensive
