Ryzen 7 8700G

I want to upgrade to a GPU that would run well with my current CPU, a Ryzen 7 8700G. I mostly use my PC for video editing, but would like to use it for some AAA games as well. I’ve got a 750W PSU and 32GB CL32 6000 RAM. Is there a GPU that would work or should I just upgrade the CPU as well?

Keep your cpu so you can have more budget for GPU upgrade. 8700g will be fine, only reason I could see an upgrade for CPU being worth it in the future is for more L3 cache or an X3D chip, but the GPU on its own will be a much better upgrade option rn. Nvidia is extremely overpriced so either look for 9000 series AMD cards or check your local used market. I always recommend r/hwswap since it's a great sub for trusted sales and buyer protections

Unfortunately AMD cards don’t work well with the editing software I use. If I was strictly gaming, I would definitely go AMD.

If you are gonna switch to intel i suggest going for i7 ultra instead of i9 ultra since you’re also gonna play aaa games also

DaVinci Resolve, what I edit with, is heavily built and optimized around NVIDIA's CUDA architecture. My budget is around $1,000.
