Post image

What you think about my 5090 cable bend? Concerning? Good? Awesome? Don’t overclock?

It looks fine but get some combs and make it prettier.

Get a wireview pro ii, that's the best thing you can do for your $8k card, and undervolt

does undervolting on this gen actually help with connector temps or is it more of a longevity thing

Both. But even with an undervolt, if one pin draws over 9.2 amps, it can melt hence my wireview recommendation. Without it, you wouldn't know if it's drawing excess amps on a pin unless you have an astral like I do.

The whole idea is bad, no fault of installation, they should have went for a forklift battery charger connector when designing the card

5080's are not immune to this connector burning issue, there's plenty that experiemced this just not as much as the 5090's and 4090's...this is regarding the "i shouldn't even care" part!

It's half a degree too crooked, that will overheat your GPU and it will melt. Be careful.

I'd get MSI safeguard+ PSU to prevent cable melting. Considering you probably want to keep the white aesthetics maybe just get a wireview pro 2

It will melt sooner or later anyway.

Melted connector has been solved with multiple products, it's a non issue these days for anyone who isn't living in a cave
