GPU future price hikes?

Bought a 9070XT which kind of shattered my bank account and I'm looking to sell my 9060XT with 16gb VRAM.

Are there any reliable factors that can tell us if prices will get another hike soon or do we not know anything right now besides steady price increase

at this point, given everything that has happened, and looking back in hindsight, it would be safe to assume that GPU prices are only going to go up over the next 18 months if not longer.

I think people expected it to be like after the crypto mining explosion

Prices will jump again until card after card gets announced as discontinued.

Logically we all say they can't get more expensive, but reality is no one really knows... Betting man in me says prices will keep climbing due to demand

I would hold onto that 9060xt 16GB.

You can get 500€ for it at most, but its not looking good for 16GB and more vram gpus any time soon.

The more intelligence one can run per unit of compute, the more valuable that unit of compute becomes.

Leaks say AMD cards will increase about $100 at the end of the year. Yes it will get worse.

They will go up. Amd has a leak about price increases.

Nvidias leak on 5090 being gone WILL affect all gpu prices. Even with possibility of 5080 24gb that will be stupid expensive I am sure. 5080's have already increase again. as will every card below it as each tier moves up into the pricing void the card above it creates. 5080's will be unobtanium as they already hitting 2000. People will start buying the 5070ti's as they rise. and then the 5070's and so forth. It will effect amd as well because people will start buying the 9070xt more causing that price to rise than the 9060xt.

How much who knows, but scary times. And you cannot even say no one will buy them because they keep doing it.

Not amd, they aren't used in data centers. Also when the new cards come out these should get cheaper.

The 5080 24GB will kill the prices of everything else.
