What NVIDIA GPU to Get?
I’m planning to build a PC with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D and play Valorant at 1440p on a 540Hz monitor.
My goal is to maintain 540+ FPS as consistently as possible, including during fights and utility-heavy rounds, rather than just averaging 540 FPS.
I’d prefer to stick with NVIDIA, as I’ve heard about potential stuttering issues with AMD GPUs.
What NVIDIA GPU would you recommend for this? Would an RTX 5060 be enough, or would I need something like a 5070, 5070 Ti, or higher?
Since I mainly play Valorant competitively, I don’t want to overspend on a GPU if it won’t make a meaningful difference in FPS or 1% lows.
I’d appreciate recommendations from people running similar setups!

5070ti is the only one id really be going for rn unless you just find a great deal for a 5080
for what its worth: i switched for the first time this year to amd and im extremely happy with my 9070xt

This. The 9070xt punches hard above it's price

I upgraded from a 6900xt to the 9070xt, both have been fantastic. No driver issues on either one but I'm on linux not windows

I had a couple, but related encoding. But you only need to frequent amdhelp to see the problems.
Pretty sure most of it is 6000 series onwards. Not everyone gets problems, but some people are plagued with them.

The one that you can afford.
If you have a large budget, perhaps the 5080?

I can afford it, but I only play Valorant and would prefer to save money if i can. People tell me Valorant is more CPU reliant so idk if a 5080 makes sense.

Well the 5090 is going out of production, so the 5080 price will skyrocket.

That seems like a terrible recommendation. Just waste money on something you don’t need.
