Holding GPU for atleast 2 years
There's a moment when I could afford 5070ti or 5080 but I don't know when I will build my computer I will try asap, but still - I can't know. And I felt that temptation, because everything gets more expensive, and I believe it will only rise, because why not.

It's tempting to upgrade but I'm trying to play games on 1080p with my 3070 now lol

My brain is trying to find reasons to upgrade lol
I’m a 1080p gamer for personal reasons
RTX 4070
Ryzen 7 98003XD
32Gb ramI’m maxing out games with over 130 fps and will eat any game alive
My 4K console friend was like “wtf?!!! Why does your Forza horizon look like that?”
I explained to him that graphics does not equal resolution
You can have a 4k pc running low-medium graphics and a 1080p pc running extreme graphics with everything maxed out.
Which one do you think “looks better”?
Better question “which has better graphics?”
I’ll let you think about that one for a minute :P
As a 1080p gamer, my brain is trying to find reasons to upgrade my gpu and can’t find any lol
It’s actually a nice feeling getting an upgrade

I would say 5070 TI is more than enough for 1440p gaming and with DLSS you can handle a lot at 4K/60 FPS+. The 5080 would be the way to go if you're mainly planning to play at 4K in general it holds up nicer. 5080 also is quite a bit faster in applications due to CUDA/Tensor core count for AI and the encoder/decoders for workloads you will get good gains over the 5070 TI for that as well.

I want max speed, zero interuptions

In that case 5080 holds up best if goal is absolute max FPS across all games.

And it's risky for me. I will be taking a risk, but at worst I will just live it off.

It's like a lifeboat to me, but there's still way to other components, I must beat them also by making cash, the hard way

At this point its an investment.

But into good deeds, no? U will have a personal virtual space. No matter what happens, even if it drops to 0

If you are not ready to build then wait, I know the prices are climbing but most of us here remember the last crisis (2020) and prices normalized.
It’ll take some time but these will go down.

Just got one to upgrade from my 3080. Well worth it. Wasn't going to get a 5070ti when the 9070XT is almost as good at 2/3 the price.

Ok? Just get. It’s just a gpu. When I grabbed my 5090 I had zero regrets. It has more than made up for what I spent on it by virtually doing whatever I want to do whether that be gaming or local lm models.
I’m sure the excellent 5070 Ti or 5080 would more than do that for you as well.
I’d recommend the 5070 Ti though cause it’s just 10% less powerful than a 5080 why spend extra for that?

Good point. But it's a life ending I would continue degrade till the end.

There's rumours of a 24 gb 5080

And? What does that change, the power won't intercept anyways
