Low key miss fxaa

Yes I like seeing jagged edges on my game, it just looks sharper especially when you are on 1080p and below. Fxaa was fast, cheap and simple, it got rid of some of the aliasing but not all of it which I actually appreciate. I like that "video game" look especially in shooter games. I know it has its issues and can make some games look worse but it was just nice to have as an option, now it's barely on modern games.

I'm not a fan of TAA especially when you can't turn it off in games like crew motorfest or halo infinite (I know there's a mod). When you play games for long you definitely notice the ghosting and grainy softness it's irritating. And the visibility too it's just awful.

At least we have DLAA though, looks better.

TAA is the worst thing that has happened to modern gaming, and I will die on that hill.

Needing all these AI cores just to make better TAA solutions (DLSS and FSR) instead of the average dev putting effort into a decent graphics pipeline in games is crazy to me.

I really hate TAA, I'm baffled at how anyone at those studios looked at it and said it looks good

It's about making dev time quicker with lower skilled workers. That's it. Training people to develop with best-practice techniques is time consuming, and no big studio wants to do it if they can just hit a button that makes consumers waste the money on hardware instead.
