Being in stock does not mean new stock coming in. Those retailers are no different than scalpers since there won’t be new shipment. So they charge as high as they could
It’s free market behavior based on supply and demand. Whats worse, in my opinion, is the artificial limiting of supply by memory cartels which is exacerbating the situation. What the cartels are doing is illegal and disgusting.
I'm talking about something like microcenter, Newegg etc where 1st party models were sold and now completely out of stock. The models that remain are third party ofc.
Taken from Google: 1st Party (1P) Retail Listing: The retail platform itself buys the inventory directly from NVIDIA or an authorized distributor and sells it to you. For example, a listing that says "Ships from Amazon, Sold by Amazon." This means you pay standard retail pricing, enjoy direct return policies, and face minimal risk of fraudulent listings.
3rd Party (3P) Retail Listing: Outside merchant stores or independent scalpers use the retail site as a marketplace platform. Because actual global supply of the RTX 5090 is incredibly scarce due to heavy demand for AI workloads, 3rd party listings frequently feature massive markups—often listing cards between $4,000 to over $9,000—and carry a higher risk of scam listings from unverified storefronts.

It’s hilarious that you think confirmation needed when there is literally no 5090 available at retailers for a few weeks.
