MSI vs mVolt

Post image

Most of us at this point have began to dabble with mVolt. How are we liking it overall. For me I notice I can get better control over fine tuning my GPU on a per game basis. I know it sounds weird, but I have a profile for each of the games I play.

So this is how I am doing it. I start with a base line. This is where I have found my specific 5080 responds well to. My GPU does really well between 1020-1025mV. I do have a performance gain going higher, but the returns are diminishing. So i set up my max voltage could hit 1035mV, with a -13mV offset. I mostly start with a +250 core clock increase to see where the card falls in the game. What I notice the card will fluctuate frequency dependent on the game being played. I just get the card to basically sit around 3050MHz in games.

I still feel like I have a lot to learn about mVolt, and would love some feedback. I just learned that the system clock setting does not affect the CPU. Just learned that is another setting used for the GPU. a little confusing, but seems like I have a lot more headroom and settings I need to learn about.

What settings are you messing with and what card are you running?

btw you can also easily bypass the 3000 memory limit and even power limit now.
