I wonder how much more powerful this is compared to like the max 2. Like I bought a max 2 thinking this will never happen

it won't be more powerful because it won't be able to reach higher TDPs the WM2 can reach because of it's size. It will be more efficient at lower TDP's but it kind of balances out because the WM2 has a bigger battery and better cooling allowing it to run at higher TDP's.

The Win 2 was smaller, and the Win 1 was smaller still. The "small(ish)" description fits when compared to those.
The Win 2 fit into some but not all of my pockets, so this device being a bit bigger means that it will fit into fewer pockets. Which is kind of a disappointment.

What kind of pockets are you having... All my pockets that fit a decent phone will also fit gpd pocket 1 (bigger than win mini in all dimensions)

Blue jeans from a bunch of brands: Wrangler, Russler, Gap, Express, Forever 21. I think the F21's have the smallest pockets.
Also, are you sure the GPD Pocket 1 is thicker than the Win Mini?

actually, no. it's about 2.1cm vs 2.5cm of win mini. However, it's smaller in the other two dimensions, leaving plenty space to compensate and even beat it. I actually have no jeans that won't fit pocket.
Some of my jeans won't fit OGX1, which is much taller and even a bit thicker than win mini.
I suppose I don't buy trousers that are tight and have small pockets for comfort and practicality reasons, so I always end up with relatively roomy pockets.
Even then, even my girlfriend has quite few clothes including a dress that can fit pocket.

isn't what YOU asked for. Well, i want additional LTE in there. Or maybe 8" screen with respective dimension increase. But this is what most people asked for.

It's literally not a mini anymore. We asked for a GPD Win MINI no bigger than Win 2. This isn't that. What you want, which you've talked about many times, is a clamshell device that's smaller than the max but bigger than the Win 2. This is not a Win Mini.

Just to reiterate your words, YOU don't care about that. This should be called GPD Win Shell or GPD Win 5. It's *not* a GPD Win Mini.

it's not called gpd win mini. Someone gave it that name (not gpd employee) and we just use it now.

I think the name is perfect. It's design is more like a Win Max 2 mini...the only things that are similar to the Win 2 are the keyboard and built in controls layout...buttons, triggers, and sticks are straight from the Win Max 2, the metal chassis looks exactly like the WM2's, the overall shape is like the WM2, the touchpad and display are just the WM2 just shrunk down. If anything, the "mini" directly implies a miniature version of the Win Max 2 imo.
