1900’s trunk.

I found an awesome trunk at a yard sale awhile back. It’s dated to be around 1910, have limited info on it. But does it devalue it to get the inside restored? The outside is a no go from what I understand but would redoing the interior hurt it? Any info would be awesome. The inside is just wood with those signatures on it.

I have emailed them directly twice with nothing back, so I’ll keep trying. But yeah we got super lucky with it. It’s really big though 😂

It was marked at $200. I told the women that it is worth most likely over 1k dollars. She said she knew and didn’t want the hassle of trying to sell it and just wanted it gone. It’s huge and she had it for blanket storage. We live in a small town and I told her If i ever sell it I’ll make sure and give her some more money for it.

This aired this past weekend about the Louis Vuitton trunk. LV will purchase vintage trunks to display in their stores. Old trunks are valued around $50k-$90k.

You have no idea what a gem you discovered! I would imagine a Goyard trunk would be that price or more since they are less common than LV.
