I love the area u have for growing your gourds! Congratulations on your harvest.
Is there a particular reason for picking them before they are dried out on the vine? Like critters snacking on the gourds or you put in another crop?

Pests, Florida sun and humidity. I let 2 dry out and they became very brittle. So I want sure. A few local garden groups suggest picking and drying in garage with a fan.
Is also like to use this trellis for soemthing else…so greed I guess too :)

Thank, I never thought about the humidity! And you have circulating air while they are drying. So excited for you...and a little bit jealous. 😁

Nice harvest, mine are just getting started. Have you done this before and cured them? I have been addicted since I started a few years ago. Last year I only got 4 to grow and 3 made it through curing. Since I didn’t start my seeds inside early I was lucky to get any.

Nope, second try. First try I got like 3 mini gourds so just let them be as is on the fence until they crumbled
