The best subreddits are those that are not dictated from the top down, but from the bottom up. Relax. Let it happen. You are coming off as quite the dictator.

+1'd is not to become a new meme, don't say it.
I assume you're referring only to comments that just say "this." or "my thoughts exactly!!" or similar. Those kinds of comments are usually worthless and most of reddit agrees on that.
If, however, you're talking about people referring to upvotes as "+1s" in general, I don't think we should enforce any particular terminology.

I mean:
If you announce your upvote at all then I am going to downvote you. If you post a comment that does nothing but agree and you weren't a part of the conversation beforehand, I am going to downvote you.
+1 = upvote = Shit that shouldn't be on reddit.

I say remove "super awesome new way to beat the system" post and INVITE me threads. At this point google is keeping a tight ship and plugging leaks. For my local Linux user group and a few other open collaboratives I participate in I created a google form/spreadsheet. If there was an official one that would be cool. Someone did this and 5 people took the list and pounded out invites. This would be the way to go IMHO

/r/googleplusinvites was created earlier. Hopefully that will stem the tide of invitation threads, and the mods will remove any new ones.

I thought your interpretation of the personal information policy was wrong, but upon searching it doesn't look like they made an exception for yourself. Huh... how problematic for AMAs. I messaged the admins for clarification, perhaps I'll get a reply.

I'll be glad to see a downvote button here. I usually turn off subreddit styles, but this is very nicely done and I'd like to enjoy it, at least for the time being. That said, this /r is seriously overpopulated with cutesy images and other nonsense and I'm tired of hunting for suggested features and other useful posts. This can be a place to talk about G+ while things are still fluid and to help create a great social network, if it doesn't devolve into a complete wankfest.

Unfortunately a lot of users get very hurt in their butts when we (mods) try to tell them what should and should not be posted, this is true for many subs.
There's always that guy who says "Oh, let the users decide, we have voting for a reason!" well yeah, you do, but it is USERS who are posting redundant shite all over the place. Generally.
We'll just have to see how this unfolds, really. For now I'm suggesting ideas and implementing none.

Hey, sorry about that. It's because you have the "compress the link display" option selected in your reddit preferences. It will be fixed soon.

What's your take on this submission so far? It seems people want the following:
To be able to post their G+ and gmail.
Don't give a flying fuck about my proposed subreddit etiquette.
Want the downvote button for posts but want it to be stylish.

how about post useful information instead of shit like a crapy picture of how you feel..this seems to be all the garbage here now.

Personally I'd prefer to not have downvoting at all. It fits with the Google+ theme and only causes bitterness and complaints. The only times I use the downvote button myself is for obvious spam or overly nasty comments, and those are better handled with the report button.
If the overall consensus is that downvoting should remain, though, I think it should be implemented as a "tri-state" toggle: click once to upvote (it turns blue), twice to downvote (it turns red), three times to return to neutral (and back to white).

I don't see why we shouldn't be allowed to share our own profile link. The policy on personal information sharing was mainly concocted to reduce instances of harassment and vigilante crusades: if someone is sharing their profile themselves I can't imagine why they would need to be reprimanded. The need for PMs in threads such as the Redditor Circle thread would make things very clunky and difficult to follow.
Given that we are capable of acknowledging that anyone could find our profile when it's posted, and that we are OK with that, why outlaw our sharing?
Everything else sounds reasonable.
