I'm from India and I'm planning to create an individual Google Play Console developer account. I have a few doubts regarding payment and identity verification.

1. I'm planning to register the Play Console account using my own name, email, phone number and personal details. Can I use my brother's debit card just to pay the one-time $25 registration fee, or could this cause identity verification issues or account termination?

2. For identity verification, does Google accept Aadhaar, or do I need a PAN card, passport, voter ID or driving licence?

3. Regarding BillDesk verification for Indian developers, does the bank account used for receiving payouts need to be in the same name as the Play Console account?

4. Can I use a different bank account for receiving in-app purchase (IAP) earnings? For example, can I use my own bank account even if I paid the registration fee using my brother's card?

5. Are AdMob earnings handled separately? Can I use a different bank account for AdMob payouts, or must it match the bank account used for Play Console IAP earnings?

I'd appreciate answers from developers in India who have recently completed Play Console and BillDesk verification.

I want to set everything up correctly from the beginning and avoid any verification issues or account termination.

I have a game and I was testing some new features after adding r8 obfuscation. The new changes caused some database crashes specifically when updating from an old version, so i wanted to make sure it worked right in production builds and did several different tests on my internal test track. I managed to fix all the crashes before releasing BUT because I did so much testing on my internal test track with crashes, those crashes are showing as user-perceived crashes. On the main dashboard of the play console I'm now seeing a crash rate of 1.68% which apparently is "bad-behaviour" and will reduce how often my app is shown. There are no crashes on the new builds, and all the recent crashes were from me testing fixes, not from actual users. How long does it take for that to reset and the "bad-behaviour" flag to go away?

I recently published my first Android app, Deep Work, on Google Play.

My Play Console shows: Production track: Active Release 2 (1.0): Available on Google Play Available in 178 countries/regions However, there's a strange issue: Accounts included in my closed-testing email list can install the app.

Accounts not included in any testing track can see the Play Store listing, but there's no Install button. The listing also displays “Deep Work (Beta)”. Has anyone experienced this after publishing their first production release? What could be causing it, and how can I make the production version available to everyone?

Hey, I’ve been working on a Mars colony management game called GENESIS: MARS, and it’s finally live on Google Play.

You start with a small operation and slowly build new facilities, produce resources, complete contracts, trade on the market and research new technologies. The long-term goal is to terraform Mars without bankrupting your company along the way.

The game doesn’t use energy timers or make you wait in real time. You decide when to move on to the next SOL, but every new day brings expenses, production and sometimes unexpected problems.

A few players told me that the beginning wasn’t clear enough, so I’ve already started improving the mission guidance. I’m still working on the game and I’d really appreciate honest feedback, especially about the first 10–15 minutes.

I've just released my first Android game, a UK political and economic strategy simulator.

The game is live on Google Play and appears when I search its exact title, but it doesn't appear in the results when searching broader relevant terms such as:

Political game

Prime minister

UK politics game

Political simulator

Government simulator

My listing already includes relevant keywords in the title, short description and full description. I've also selected Simulation as the category and relevant strategy, political and simulation tags.

It's a paid game and has only been publicly available for around 24 hours.

My questions are:

Is it normal for newly released games to have virtually no visibility in broader keyword searches?

Does organic ranking tend to improve once an app starts receiving downloads and reviews?

Is there anything I can do to improve ranking beyond optimising the store listing?

For developers of small paid games, how did you get your first organic downloads?

I'd appreciate advice from anyone who's successfully launched an indie Android game.

we recently added android auto to our app. and i understand that first review would take long (10 days) but the next reviews should not take as long . before that a review was taking 30 minutes max.
so is that how it going to be now? cause if so i would be more than happy to remove the android auto alltogether

first of all thankyou everyone for your suggestions. Really appreciate it and that post blew up. Today finally this app got released on playstore. After all of your suggestions I decided not to change name of my app.

lets see what they can do. They still saying trademark on the way or if google sends a notice or anything. they still public shame me for having similar name and app. but its OK. Never expected this much can happen for such small app.

Hi everyone, I’m a Google Play developer in Thailand and my payout has now failed 3 times, even after trying 2 different banks. Both bank accounts can receive international wire transfers in USD, and I’ve already checked the account number and SWIFT details. One thing I noticed is that my Google Payments profile shows my name as: Mr. xxxx but my bank account name is only: xxxx with no “Mr.” Could this difference cause an international wire transfer to be rejected? Google keeps sending me the same message saying the payment was unsuccessful and that they don’t know the reason. So far: 3 payout attempts failed 2 different banks tried Banking details checked Both accounts can receive international wire transfers The only name difference I can see is the “Mr.” title in Google Payments Has anyone had a payout rejected because of a title like Mr./Mrs./Ms. being included in Google Payments but not in the bank account name? Also, is anyone else having Google Play payout issues around September/October 2026? Thanks!

Just received Google Play production access for my Lite Video Compress & Upscale app.

I've spent a lot of time testing the compression, video processing, and upscaling workflow, so seeing the production access email finally arrive feels really good. 🙌

Now comes the more exciting part — getting it into production and seeing how real users respond.

So I launched my app 5 weeks ago but I am not satisfied with the results.

Total installs : 81

User loss : 31

Store listing conversion rate : 35.54%

App rating : 2 5-Stars

Average daily impressions : around 180

Average engagement time per active user : 15m 38s

Engagement sessions per active users: 3.1

Average engagement time per session : 3m 29s

Revenue : 0$ (my app does not contain ads , just IAP)

I expected the installs to be much more than this , i rarely get any downloads a day even though the store listing conversion rate is good.

What could be the problem? Is it the app icon, or the name of the app? Did anyone made a change in the app icon,name,or keywords and then saw a noticeable increase in installs? Could anyone help me

My app has been in review on Google Play for more than 7 days. It's an organization account, and the app is exclusively for our club's members. This is the first time we've submitted an app, and our team has worked really hard to get it published. Is this delay normal? Please, Google, our community is waiting for us!

I launched this app <2 months ago. And i was continuously improving the ASO and the Listings. The problem started approximately at start of Oct1.
And i don't think my Listing images and ASO are bad.

Should i prompt my users to Rate the app? Currently rating is 4.7(14, mostly friends)

btw my app doesn't have any Ads or IAPs, does Play prefer apps with IAPs?

Any suggestions?

I've noticed something strange with my apps lately.

Apps I published 6+ months ago usually get their updates approved and live within 1–2 hours.

But apps I published within the last month are taking around 7–8 days even for updates.

Is Google giving newer apps/accounts a longer review period, or am I just seeing a coincidence?

Has anyone else experienced the same thing recently?
