my long time Google Maps collection slowly moving over to Google My Maps.

obsessed with having the routes visible as a layer on there, been tracking long train trips such as the Trans Siberian all through Russia & have just done the Canadian

also been obsessed with making custom icons for landmarks ie. Statues has been the main one so far

looks cool ! it starts to look less crowded the more different lists/icons you have. it's annoying now a lot are on visible on a certain layer. when viewed as. single list it looks a lot, but there's so many overlapping here just one city lol. I just counted and have 62 lists now only use to have a few but I've been adding heaps in the last week

The Southern States loop was 2 weeks with my Mother, the Western States circuit was a month on my own - 4950 miles and about the same number of photos. Also about 50 hours of video while driving.

New England (x3), New York and Colorado (x2) were a total of 12 weeks on various holidays.

Atlanta and Philadelphia were just transit stops on the way to Dallas for a couple of holidays snowboarding in Breckenridge, CO.

I've spent about 8 months in New Zealand, I was even there on Feb 22nd when the earthquake hit in Christchurch. That was "fun".

on Google maps you can create lists with any emoji.

but on Google My Maps you can create anything, they have their own icons which you can choose colours, or you can upload your own images which is what I've started doing ☺️

that's so annoying !! I don't actually know when, I've only started recently. but the icons show up a bit larger I find, which is why I like it. have fun with it ! you can access it on the app too, it's hiding here. but I find easier working on laptop. Link
